The graceful Egyptian Vulture seems all that remains of the ancient Goddess Nekhbet who is referred to as, "Mother of Mothers, who hath existed from The Beginning and created our world."

The Goddess Nekhbet was portrayed as a vulture wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt and holding the symbols of eternity in her talons. Hopefully this intelligent, tool-using bird won't also become a long forgotten myth. Egyptian vultures are currently endangered due to human-caused threats.
