Description
Luxurious air travel in the 1930's meant flying in a Douglas DC-3. Wealthy travelers enjoyed delicious meals and plush seats while flying through the sky.
Inside this silver beauty, a maximum of 14 overnight passengers slept in paired or single sleeping berths, seven unfolded from the ceiling. For same day flights, the DC-3 carried 28 passengers.
Although hundreds of DC-3s are still flying today, this one is spending it's retirement at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, Oregon, USA.
