Description
A small family of feral black cats were captured near a creek. A trap-setting teen took them to be spayed and neutered with the intent to re-release them. They scratched and hissed in their carriers, save one. A small, quiet female didn't attack the vet staff like her siblings, so the teen decided to attempt to find her a home.
After her spay, the newly named "Spooky" was given a ID tag and break-away collar. The six-month old kitty was kept in a garage while local rescue groups were contacted. The teen pleaded but they all refused to take a difficult to adopt, feral black cat. As Halloween was approaching, it was too risky to give her to anyone answering an ad. The desperate teen asked my kind-hearted landlady to accept Spooky as an outdoor "barn" cat. And that's how I was introduced to this feral cat.
