Description

This controversial memorial consisting of 3,000 yield signs on an aluminum frame, touches the bright Canadian sky.

The Yield Sign pyramid was conceived as a form of therapy to help residents recover from the traumatic events of the 1996 flood. On that tragic day, ten people were lost and at least 250 buildings were destroyed when the Saguenay and Ha! Ha! Rivers flooded during a severe rainstorm - Saguenay, Quebec, Canada.

I used a fish-eye lens to photograph the pyramid, then cancelled the distortion to create this unusual perspective of this unique structure.
