You don’t have to venture far to find beautiful yellow blossoms with dark centers growing wild in the San Bernardino mountains of Southern California. Of course, you can find this distinct flower in all 48 contiguous US states and 10 Canadian Provinces.
I found this wild Black-eyed Susan with a honey bee in its “eye” while Jeeping on the Willow Creek Jeep Trail near Lake Arrowhead, California.
