I've never experienced more glorious mountain scenery than in Alaska. Most visitors experience "involuntary awe" while viewing jaw-dropping vistas.

Majestic mountains are common in Alaska but this sharp peak, clearly visible from downtown Skagway really caught my attention. It stands like a sentential near the Chilkoot Inlet as ships sail to and from this gateway to Canada's Yukon Territory.

This mountain is part of the Coast Mountain Range whose northern end is in the Yukon and continues south past the Alaska Panhandle down to Fraser River, British Columbia, Canada.
