Description
It took 199 years to build the gleaming white marble tower of seven bells in Pisa, Italy.
As I stood at the base looking up, I imagined what it would have been like to be present when the great astronomer Galileo Galilei reportedly experimented by dropping two cannonballs of different weights from this tower.
Amused by all the tourists attempting to hold-up the tower in forced perspective photos, I liked this shot from the base. The Tower of Pisa is located next to the Cathedral of Pisa, in Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) Pisa, Italy.
