One of the most creative architectural geniuses of all time, Frank Lloyd Wright accomplished many of the world’s most amazing and beautiful structures, including this one.
The Marin County Civic Center complex was not only his final project but the only one he executed for government, and the only one that integrated architecture with highway design, to be in harmony with the surrounding golden California landscape.
The long horizontal buildings of pink stucco walls and scalloped balconies gracefully link the crowns of three separate hills. Using simple materials, the circular patterns of the civic center harmonize, blend and flow throughout.
This close up the the exterior is only a tiny sample of this amazing complex which is truly a work of art.
