Description
The amazing racing homing pigeon has been a tool of men since 1200BC. Ramses III used pigeons to carry Nile River reports between cities. Romans used them to convey messages throughout their empire and they were indispensable during WWI. Over centuries, pigeons have been bred for speed and homing ability. Today the sport of pigeon racing remains popular.
This fledgling is the offspring of a champion but will never race as he was destined for a more difficult life - that of a pampered pet.
