Description
When I went hiking through the Sweet Springs Nature Reserve in Los Osos, California, I hoped to see a few birds and maybe turtles in the pond. But this brilliant orange invader, not at all native to the reserve, really caught my attention. This Gazania of the daisy family, mysteriously found it's way into a solitary existence surrounded by tall beige weeds and wild gray-green grasses.
