Description
According to native Americans, Hummingbirds sing a vibration of pure joy. Some say hummingbird feathers can open a closed heart so they've been an important ingredient of love charms for millennia.
The actual length of this feather is approximately one inch or 25mm.
Anna's hummingbirds have iridescent emerald bodies with rosey-red throats. They are native to the Pacific Coast of California. Like indigenous birds of all kinds, they are a protected species. I visited a wildlife rescue group and took this photograph.
